# Student view

On the Voting activity, students can see the title, voting question/instructions along with the possible candidate choices.

Note that there is an `Other option` to add a text entry as this was defined by the teacher when the voting tool was created (see [Advanced settings](/lams/tools/vote/create.md#advanced-settings)).

After the student has entered the text choice, the student submits the answer and confirms it.

As the teacher has allowed students to see the results (see [Advanced settings](/lams/tools/vote/create.md#advanced-settings)), the student gets presented with all the other students' choices and charts.
