# Selecting a Team Leader As the next activities in the [TBL process](/tbl/tbl-for-students/tbl-as-student.md#how-does-tbl-works) will be in teams, you and your teammates have to designate a leader for a group. **The leader in your group would answer questions on behalf of the team, ensure that team consensus is reached and that everyone within the team participates of the team's discussions.** When you get to the Team Leader activity, you and your teammates will be asked to be the leader.
