Monitor
Summary
The monitoring forum summary shows you all the students involved in the forum discussion. It shows the active engagement of each student such as their number of posts, activities, and marks.
As a teacher, it gives you a view of the forum where you can moderate and mark the students' posts.
In summary, the marks given to the students can be downloaded and used to formulate results.
View Forum
In ‘view forum’ section, you can see the activity of the students which includes their posts and the replies.
You can also participate in the discussion with the students by replying or adding posts when needed.
Further, you can mark the students contributions by clicking ‘mark’ button.
Hide Posts
Students' posts can be hidden or edited by you when required.
Marks
To release the marks to the students, just click the ‘Release Marks’ button. Similarly, you can download the marks too.
Students who have been given marks could be checked in the monitoring forum summary. To check, click on the ‘Mark’ button in the ‘Marked?’ column, a new window would appear with information such as marks and comments given by the teacher, the given marks can also be updated.
Advanced Settings
The advanced settings shows the selected settings for the forum when the forum was created.
Deadline Settings
It gives you the ability to set a deadline beyond which students cannot post messages.

Analytics
The monitoring forum analytics shows the data of all the messages posted by the students involved in the forum discussion. It shows the average message mark, the number of messages being posted in the discussion, and also the average mark in each individual topic of the discussion.
