Submit Files

The assignment files can be submitted individually, meaning that each student in the lesson submits his/her own file, or if the activity is grouped, you can ask students to submit only one file on behalf of the whole group/team.

You can configure this activity with limits for the number of files students can upload (maximum and minimum) as well as to get notifications when student submit their files.

After the students have submitted their files, you (as teacher) can assign marks/scores for the students' submissions.

  1. Any time you want students to submit files as a response to an assignment.

  2. Whenever the output of an activity is a file(s) that students have to submit for assessment.

Educational Insight

If you require students to work collaboratively offline on an activity and then submit the output of it as an assignment, then this tool is what you need.

What can I use Submit files for?

Submit files is an assessment tool where students are expected to submit an assignment to be graded by the teacher.

The assignment can be based on an output of an activity that is performed offline or based on a previous activity in the lesson. .

Pedagogies that use Submit files: TBL, PBL, Jigsaws, Enquiry based Learning, etc.

How does it work?

You (teacher) provide students with instructions for an assignment. If the activity is set in teams/groups, you can specify that only one persons (the leader of the team) submits the assignment file(s) on behalf of the team.

A maximum and/or minimum number of files to be submitted can be set as well as notifications for teachers when a student submits the assignment file(s).

Once students submit their assignments, you can grade and comment on these and then release the grades for students. Notifications for when the grades/marks are release are sent to the students too.
